[2022년 신년사] 함께 걸어가는 활기찬 한인회!

존경하는 휴스턴 한인동포여러분!

지난 펜데믹 2년동안은 전 세계가 공포속에 고난과 역경의 우울한 시간을 보냈습니다
그럼에도 불구하고 우리 휴스턴 한인동포들은 어려움을 잘 이겨내셨고 앞으로도 잘 이겨내실 것이라 믿습니다.
이번 한인회장 선거에는 천 명 이상의 동포들이 참여해 동포사회에 대한 관심과 희망을 보여주셨습니다.
이러한 열정에 감사 드리고 새해에는 모두 일어나 함께 가는 활기찬 한인회, 동포 여러분들이 참여할 수 있는 한인회, 새로운 시대에 맞게 남녀노소가 참여하는 한인회를 만들고 주류사회에도 적극 참여해 휴스턴에서 인정받는 한인회가 되도록 노력하겠습니다. 그래서 우리의 권리나 혜택을 떳떳하게 누리는 모범적인 33대 휴스턴 한인회가 될 수 있도록 온 힘을 기울이겠습니다.
임인년 새해에는 소망하는 일들이 모두 이뤄지고 동포 여러분의 가정과 일터에서 행복이 가득하길 기원 드립니다.

Dear My Fellow Korean American Houstonians:

It has been a difficult two years under the pandemic. Despite all the hardship that we have faced, we have been able to maintain our integrity. We were pleasantly surprised that over a thousand of you came to vote for the next President and Executive Vice President of the Korean American Association and Community Center of Houston (KAACCH). With such enthusiastic participation, we plan to carry this momentum forward as we work together for a brighter future in the up-and-coming year.
We would like to have a Korean American community that encourages participation across all generations. We also want to participate actively in mainstream Houston activities and become a well-known and well-respected community in the greater Houston Area. Our goal is to receive more government funding that we deserve and plan to get more grants from various foundations to help grow our community.
With Covid still amongst us, please be cautious so that we can overcome this pandemic together. We wish you nothing but the best for the up-and-coming year. Happy New Year!
